Seraya Shipping holding registered crew pool at consists of approximately over 2000 seafarers with nearly 200 on standby list of recruit them any circumstance. Over 200 crew members are employed at sea at any given time.
We follow a well-defined and stringent selection procedure which ensures that only the most qualified and best disciplined seafarers are recruited.
The selection procedure consists of a series of interviews conducted by an experienced panel of marine professionals. The interview process guarantees a thorough evaluation of the applicant’s professional competency and trade tests may also be conducted to assess required skills. Further all selection are under the stCW 95, IMO & MLC 2006 and drug & alcohol test is compulsory for any seafarer who recruiting by us. English language test is the other compulsory requirement for our seafarers and candidate must have positive reference from their previous employers.
Potential seafarers who are in need of training are encouraged to follow professional courses at Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College now known as CINEC Maritime Campus, one of the best equipped training facilities in Asia that is conveniently located in close proximity to the capital city of Colombo.
